The Borders Q&A SIG  meets at 7:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month except December. Borders Book Store is located in Lancaster, PA beside the Olive Garden Restaurant. (Park City Mall Plaza)

The Q&A SIG is an open forum, with a focus on enriching PC user's experience through the sharing of knowledge. Help is through these doors; bring your computer related questions and/or problems - leave with a solution! Attendees are encouraged to share what they may think is a solution which usually leads to a very lively discussion. The Q&A forum is for all levels of users - novice to advanced.  I do get some advanced questions which help instruct all users including myself.  I have been working with computers for over 16 years and I am always learning.  Age range of attendee's is young adults to senior citizens.  Questions vary from...how can I upgrade an existing system?  I installed a CD-RW and it doesn't work?  My system randomly reboots?  What does fdisk and format do to a hard drive?  How do I install a new hard drive?  Add more memory? What do I look for in buying a computer?  Is mail order or online purchasing the way to go? What is an ISP & how do I get one?  Do I really need anti virus software?

You can always enjoy a great cup of coffee and soak up a wealth of information at the same time.  The meeting starts at 7 PM and we have been known to help the friendly folks at Border's lock the doors at 11 PM!
